The game

What is Twotell?

A game for two. You each answer 5 questions in secret and guess how the other answered. When you have both finished, everything drops at once: both sets of answers and two scores. It runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install.

How does a game work?
  1. Lock your answers. For each question, pick your answer, then guess theirs.
  2. Send them the link.
  3. The truth drops for both of you at the same time.
What do the two scores mean?

Sync Score is how many of the 5 questions you answered the same. Mind-Read Score is how many of their answers you guessed right. Each of you gets your own Mind-Read Score, so one of you can read the other better.

Does the other person need to install or sign up for anything?

No. They open your link in their browser, confirm they are 18 or older, and enter a first name.

What if they never finish?

Your answers stay locked and private, and nothing is shown to anyone. The game deletes itself 30 days after it was created. While you wait, you can warm up in practice mode. Nobody sees it.

Can I play with a friend instead of a partner?

Twotell is built for couples, but any two adults who know each other can play Truth Lock. Only play with people who have agreed to.

What are the packs?

Pick your heat. Early Days is mild, Been Together Forever is medium, Red Flag Audit is hot, and After Dark is extra hot: flirty, never explicit, 18+.

Free and Pro

Is Twotell free?

Yes. Playing is free, with no account and no card.

Do I need an account?

No. You can play as a guest. An account is optional: it lets you see your games again for 30 days and hold Pro. You sign in with your email and a code we send you, so there is no password. You can delete your account yourself on the account page.

What is Pro, and what are Founding Spots?

Pro unlocks extra packs and features. The first 1,000 Pro members are Founding Spots, which give you Pro for life (for as long as Twotell operates). You can earn a spot when 5 people you invite, each on a new device, start their own Truth Lock or Petty Court game through your link and their partner finishes it. You need an account to get your invite link. Crush links never count. Paid spots are not open yet. When they are, the price is shown before you pay.

Does my partner need Pro too?

No. If you have Pro, they can play Pro packs in the games you start.

Privacy

Who can see my answers?

Nobody, until you have both finished. Then you both see both sets of answers, guesses and scores. Anyone with a game link can open the game, but only the two players can see the results. If you share a screenshot or receipt, anyone you send it to can see what is on it.

Can Twotell read my answers?

We don't read private games in advance. Your choices are stored as option letters (like “b”), not as text. Petty Court is different: what you write there goes through an automated safety check and then to an AI judge (see the Petty Court questions below).

What do you collect?

Your first name, your answers and guesses, and your email only if you choose to give it. No phone number, contacts, precise location or photos. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.

Do you sell my data?

No.

How long do you keep a game, and how do I delete one?

Games delete themselves 30 days after they are created. To delete sooner, tap “Delete this game now” on any screen after you lock in. Either player can. Deleted data can stay in backups for up to 14 days.

Crush

How does Crush work?

You send someone a link and you both answer privately. Only if you both say yes do you both see “It's mutual”. Otherwise nobody learns the other's answer. Each person can only send 3 Crush links a day, to keep it low-pressure.

Is Crush anonymous?

No. The person you send it to always sees your name. There is no anonymous mode.

What if it isn't mutual?

Nobody learns the other person's answer. The not-mutual screen is deliberately neutral.

I got a Crush link and I don't want it. What do I do?

You never have to answer. You can block or report the sender from the first screen, at any time.

Petty Court

What is Petty Court?

Got beef? You each write your side, privately. Judge Petty, an AI, reads both and rules once, for both of you: a split of the blame and one shared sentence. There is no winner and no loser record. It is for fun, can be wrong, and is not advice.

Will the other person see what I wrote?

No. Neither of you sees the other's side. The only text they see from you is the case title, so keep it petty.

What if my case is serious?

If a case involves abuse, control, threats, self-harm, someone under 18 or explicit content, Judge Petty does not rule. You see a support screen with a link to find a helpline instead. You see the same screen if the safety check can't run. Twotell is a game, not a substitute for real help.

Where does my Court text go?

To OpenAI only, for the safety check and the verdict. Never to DeepSeek. If OpenAI is unavailable, you see a pre-written screen instead of a verdict. Your text is kept until the game deletes itself 30 days after it was created, or 24 hours after if our safety check flags it. Either player can delete the case sooner with “Delete this game now”.

AI

What do you send to the AI?

Only what the feature needs: first names and your answers (for the Truth Lock reading) or the text you wrote (for Petty Court). Never your email, IDs or device data. Crush uses no AI.

OpenAI is our main provider. For the Truth Lock reading only, DeepSeek is a backup. It runs servers in China, and its own policy says content sent to it may be used to train its models. The Privacy Policy has the details.

Will the AI roast me?

Cheekily, about your choices and habits. Never about looks, body, money, religion, sexuality, disability or ethnicity. We block those topics.

Age and safety

Why 18+?

Some packs are flirty, and Crush and Court are about relationships. Everyone confirms they are 18 or older before playing, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Someone is bothering me through Twotell, or I think a player is under 18. What do I do?

Report or block from inside the game. A report that someone is under 18 ends the game and deletes its data. We aim to look at reports within 24 hours. You can also email [email protected].

Can I use a nickname?

Use your first name, up to 20 characters. Names with swearing, slurs or insults are refused.

Contact

How do I reach you, or ask for my data to be deleted?

Email [email protected]. Most players are guests, so include the game link or the email you used and we can find your data. We aim to reply within 30 days.
